November starts with a bang at West Grey Library.
On November 1 at 4:30 pm, the last in the History of Card Games series takes up Modern Masters: Dominion and Sushi-Go. A great chance to try out these contemporary classics with a real game fiend. No charge; pre-registration.
On November 2, Deputy Fire Chief Shawn Edwards visits Durham Branch for a 2:30 pm presentation on Fire Safety for Seniors in advance of the holiday season. We all think we know all the tricks to prevent fires, but Shawn will tell us some of the pitfalls and how to sidestep them. No charge; pre-registration.
And Library staff will be on hand at this Saturday’s Neustadt Craft Show, 9:30 to 4 pm at the Neustadt Arena, 210 Forler Street. $2 admission. Drop by, say hello, and pick up a grab bag (while supplies last)!
To pre-register for adult programs: adultprogram@westgreylibrary.com or 519.369.2107.
At South Grey News, we endeavour to bring you truthful and factual, up-to-date local community news in a quick and easy-to-digest format that’s free of political bias. We believe this service is more important today than ever before, as social media has given rise to misinformation, largely unchecked by big corporations who put profits ahead of their responsibilities.
South Grey News does not have the resources of a big corporation. We are a small, locally owned-and-operated organization. Research, analysis and physical attendance at public meetings and community events requires considerable effort. But contributions from readers and advertisers, however big or small, go a long way to helping us deliver positive, open and honest journalism for this community.
Please consider supporting South Grey News with a donation in lieu of a subscription fee and let us know that our efforts are appreciated. Thank you.
