The West Grey Library is turning indoors, with programs for the writer, crafter, history buff, foodie and competitor in each of us!
The Library’s Jigsaw Contest fundraiser returns on Saturday, November 15th at 11am at Durham Branch. Teams of two can compete in any one of three categories: Family (1 adult, 1 child 14 or under; 300 pieces); Contender (500 pieces); Master (750 pieces). $10 per person; prizes!
$10 per person; pre-registration required: 519.369.2107, at the desk or adultprograms@westgreylibrary.com
Later the same day… at 2 pm on Saturday, November 15, also at Durham Branch, Write/in the Library is back, with author/publisher-in-residence Alanna Rusnak. Join her for a quiet but inspiring afternoon in the company of other writers: a chance to unblock, spark an idea or complete a project! Free, but pre-registration is a must. Light refreshments available. Get motivated! Register at the desk, adultprograms@westgreylibrary.com or at 519.369.2107.
Check the Library’s website for other programs that bring the season to life — including holiday traditions and making edible gifts — and later this month be sure to check out the Christmas Tree Tag program, in partnership with the Durham and District Food Bank. Your unwrapped gift or financial contribution can bring the holidays to an area child or family.

At South Grey News, we endeavour to bring you truthful and factual, up-to-date local community news in a quick and easy-to-digest format that’s free of political bias. We believe this service is more important today than ever before, as social media has given rise to misinformation, largely unchecked by big corporations who put profits ahead of their responsibilities.
South Grey News does not have the resources of a big corporation. We are a small, locally owned-and-operated organization. Research, analysis and physical attendance at public meetings and community events requires considerable effort. But contributions from readers and advertisers, however big or small, go a long way to helping us deliver positive, open and honest journalism for this community.
Please consider supporting South Grey News with a donation in lieu of a subscription fee and let us know that our efforts are appreciated. Thank you.
