West Grey Police have submitted the following report:
During the week of July 14 – 21, 2022 the West Grey Police Service responded to 92 total calls for service.
July 15, 2022, at approximately 3:04 am, the West Grey Police Service (WGPS) responded to a report of a shooting at a residence on Grey Road 4 in the Municipality of West Grey.
On the evening of July 15, 2022, the Grey Bruce OPP discovered a deceased 62-year-old individual in the area of Walters Falls, in the Township of Chatsworth. This deceased individual is believed to be linked to the shooting incident in West Grey.
On July 17, 2022, at approximately 1:48 pm, multiple units of the West Region OPP and Central Region OPP responded to the area of Walters Falls after receiving information that a wanted suspect was observed in the area.
Police arrested Kodie HEARSUM, 34-years-of-age from the Municipality of West Grey, at approximately 3:43 pm.
