West Grey Police report to Dec 23, 2021

During the week of December 16 - 23, 2021, the West Grey Police Service responded to 72 total calls for service.

Officers responded to 11 Traffic Complaints / Enforcements with 13 Motor Vehicle Collisions, 6 Police Assistance complaints. Officers attended at 4 Family / Domestic Disputes. Police provided assistance and de-escalation at 2 Mental Health Act calls while also responding to 2 - 911 calls and assisting paramedics / fire 3 times. West Grey officers prevented 2 Breach of the Peace situations.

The Criminal Investigations Unit continues to investigate 2 Sexual Assaults and 2 outstanding Break and Enter incidents and several Fraud complaints that occurred during this reporting time.

December 16, 2021 – Sexual AssaultOn Thursday December 22, 2021 West Grey Police investigators with the assistance of Toronto Police Service located and re-arrested a suspect who was charged last week with a number of Criminal Charges in relation to an ongoing sexual assault investigation. West Grey officers went to Toronto and effected the arrest, transported the accused to West Grey where he was held for a bail hearing.

A 22-year old male from Toronto has been arrest and charged with:
