During the week of September 15 - 22, 2022, the West Grey Police Service responded to 68 total calls for service.
On September 16, 2022, West Grey received a traffic complaint of two motorcycles driving erratically on Highway 6 near Durham. Officers located one of the motorcycles on Lambton Street, Durham. As a result of the investigation it was learned that the owner had an outstanding Arrest Warrant for Impaired Driving.
A 44-year old male from West Grey was arrested for the warrant and later released on an Undertaking.
On September 17, 2022, West Grey Officers were called to a Domestic Dispute in the Town of Neustadt. Officers arrived and as a result of investigation a 56-year old male from West Grey was arrested and has been charged with:
The accused was transported to WGPS HQ where he was processed and later released. He will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice at a later date.
On September 17 and 19, 2022, West Grey Police were called to residence in response to an Assault and Theft complaint. As a result of investigations of multiple incidents a 16-year old who cannot be identified under the Youth Criminal Justice Act was arrested and has been charged with:
The youth was processed, released and will appear in court at a later date.
