West Grey Police report October 27- November 2, 2022

During the week of October 27 - November 3, 2022, the West Grey Police Service responded to 70 total calls for service.

  • 6 – 911 Calls
  • 3 – Domestic / Family Disputes
  • 5 – Mental Health Act
  • 6 – Motor Vehicle Collisions
  • 11 – Police Information / Assistance Calls
  • 2 – Break and Enter
  • 4 – Suspicious Persons / Vehicles
  • 4 – Theft
  • 4 – Traffic Hazards / Traffic Enforcements
  • 2 – Mischief
  • 1 – Warrant

On Friday, October 28, 2022, West Grey Police were called to a Domestic Dispute on Grey Road 4, WGT. Upon police arrival the involved people were separated and an investigation was initiated. As a result of the investigation a 28-year-old male from West Grey was arrested and is charged with:

  • Adult – Fail to Comply with Undertaking (2 Counts). She was processed, released and will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice, Walkerton at a later date.

On Sunday, October 30, 2022, West Grey Police became involved with an individual who was wanted on an outstanding warrant by OPP – Perth County.

A 51-year-old male from West Grey was arrested, turned over to the OPP and later released.

On Wednesday, November 2, 2022, West Grey Police began an investigation into several Break and Enters on Grey Road 28, Bentinck Twp, West Grey.

Following an investigation to the incidents officers arrested and have charged a 27-year-old female from Wroxeter with:

  • Adult – Break and Enter
  • Adult – Theft Under $5,000 – (3 Counts).
  • Adult – Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000 – (2 Counts).
  • Adult – Fail to Comply with Probation – (2 Counts).
  • Adult – Mischief Under $5,000
  • Adult – Theft Under $5,000 from a Motor Vehicle

The accused was held by police for a Bail Hearing. She remains in custody at the time of this report.
