West Grey launches innovative fundraiser

West Grey Library is teaming up with historian, publisher, podcaster and Marathon of History owner Mat Johnson to launch a one-of-a-kind fundraiser for the Library.

Mat brings his wealth of knowledge of local history, historical investigation techniques and publishing experience to the Celebrate, Reflect and Remember Project. Using the records and archives of local family farms and small businesses, Mat will organize and augment with interviews, archival records and other sources to develop a professional, full-colour magazine and electronic file, to give as gifts or to keep as an official record.

As part of his commitment to West Grey Library, Mat has pledged to give a donation for each package, and that donation qualifies for a tax receipt.

Mat also visits the Library each month as part of the in-residence program. Drop in with your questions on the fourth Wednesday of every month, from 10:30 am til noon. Other Wednesdays, you can visit our elder-in-residence Diane, gardener-in-residence Jackie, author/publisher-in-residence Alanna or environmentalist-in-residence Nikki. No charge; no appointment necessary.
