August 12, 2025, at approximately 11:34 pm, members of the Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a possible impaired driver in the area of Grey Road 4 and Concession 2 in Grey Highlands. The vehicle, a black Dodge Ram pickup, was reportedly driving erratically and swerving across lanes.
Police later located a vehicle matching the description and attempted a traffic stop. The driver failed to comply and fled from police before crashing. The lone occupant was taken into custody without further incident. The driver sustained minor injury. No injuries to officers or damage to police vehicles were reported.
Grey Road 4 was temporarily closed between Highway 10 and West Back Line for several hours and has since re-opened.
41-year-old man, of Mississauga, has been charged with the following Criminal Code and Highway Traffic Act offences:
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on August 13, 2025 for a bail hearing.
