Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound NDP to host Summer Spaghetti Spectacular

On August 22, at 5 pm the Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound New Democratic Party (NDP) will be hosting a Summer Spaghetti Spectacular, serving spaghetti with ice cream for dessert. The event will be held at the Harmony Centre in Owen Sound (890 4th Ave East). While there is no cost to attend the event, donations will be collected.

“I am thrilled to provide entertainment with my guitar,” previous provincial NDP candidate James Harris stated. “I’m looking forward to good food with friends both old and new.”

Chris Neudorf, previous federal NDP candidate and current riding association president said, “We are happy to be hosting an event to bring together like-minded people for enjoyable conversation and entertainment.”

Taken from their media release: The NDP believes in a province and country where people can afford a home to live and food to put on their tables, access the publicly-funded health care they need, and have children taught in well-funded schools with adequate supports. The NDP also believes in reconciliation with indigenous people. These are only a few of the issues the NDP advocates for.

The Summer Spaghetti Spectacular aims to gather supporters, neighbours, and anyone interested in meeting like-minded people or learning more about the NDP in a relaxed, family-friendly setting. More information can be obtained by emailing team@bgos-ndp.ca

At South Grey News, we endeavour to bring you truthful and factual, up-to-date local community news in a quick and easy-to-digest format that’s free of political bias. We believe this service is more important today than ever before, as social media has given rise to misinformation, largely unchecked by big corporations who put profits ahead of their responsibilities.

South Grey News does not have the resources of a big corporation. We are a small, locally owned-and-operated organization. Research, analysis and physical attendance at public meetings and community events requires considerable effort. But contributions from readers and advertisers, however big or small, go a long way to helping us deliver positive, open and honest journalism for this community.

Please consider supporting South Grey News with a donation in lieu of a subscription fee and let us know that our efforts are appreciated. Thank you.
