Public survey announced to help formulate Township of Southgate Community Strategic Plan

Township of Southgate Community Strategic Plan Survey request

The Township of Southgate is developing a Community Strategic Plan to help guide the work of Council and Staff for 2023-2027. Over the next two months, public engagement partner Wilton Consulting Group (WCG) is hoping to hear from as many community members as they can to ensure the Community Strategic Plan reflects local needs.

The first opportunity to share insights will be through a survey available online.

Southgate residents and businesspeople are encouraged to complete the survey and share it with their colleagues, neighbours, friends and family who live and/or work in Southgate.

In addition to the survey, WCG is organizing several opportunities for the community to share their insights:

  • Saturday, August 12: Holstein General Store in Holstein (Summer Soccer Program) discussions with residents and encouraging them to complete the survey
  • Wednesday, August 16: Community Engagement Drop-in Session 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm at the Frank MacIntyre building in Dundalk
  • Date to be announced: Two focus groups (location and date to be finalized)

For regular updates about the project, please visit the WCG website.

At South Grey News, we endeavour to bring you truthful and factual, up-to-date local community news in a quick and easy-to-digest format that’s free of political bias. We believe this service is more important today than ever before, as social media has given rise to misinformation, largely unchecked by big corporations who put profits ahead of their responsibilities.

South Grey News does not have the resources of a big corporation. We are a small, locally owned-and-operated organization. Research, analysis and physical attendance at public meetings and community events requires considerable effort. But contributions from readers and advertisers, however big or small, go a long way to helping us deliver positive, open and honest journalism for this community.

Please consider supporting South Grey News with a donation in lieu of a subscription fee and let us know that our efforts are appreciated. Thank you.
