Save the Durham Hospital Committee and Chesley Hospital Community Action Committee want to spread the word to the public about the upcoming Community Engagement Sessions being hosted by South Bruce Grey Health Centre (SBGHC).
As South Bruce Grey Health Centre's press release issued August 15 states:
"South Bruce Grey Health Centre continues to plan for the future to support high-quality care for the communities we serve, your feedback is important to us, and we want to hear from you directly. Join us for an opportunity to provide your input on the health care needs of our community. Sessions are open to all residents of the communities that SBGHC serves (Chesley, Durham, Kincardine, Walkerton)."
Upcoming Community Engagement Sessions:
Monday, August 26 at 6:00PM – Durham Community Centre
Tuesday, August 27 at 6:00PM – Chesley Community Centre
To attend, you must register by email or by phone, communications@sbghc.on.ca or 519-370-2400 ext. 2326
SBGHC has also created a survey which can be accessed here: Start Survey
Printed versions of the survey will be available at both community engagement sessions.
Save the Durham Hospital Committee and the Chesley Hospital Community Action Committee are part of the two communities that have suffered significant losses to their healthcare systems. The Durham and Chesley groups are asking members of both communities to come out to the meetings and be sure to share your input and get your questions answered. We want and deserve the same access to health care as our neighbouring communities have. Please take advantage of this opportunity to offer solutions and ideas that can keep our hospitals fully functional.
At South Grey News, we endeavour to bring you truthful and factual, up-to-date local community news in a quick and easy-to-digest format that’s free of political bias. We believe this service is more important today than ever before, as social media has given rise to misinformation, largely unchecked by big corporations who put profits ahead of their responsibilities.
South Grey News does not have the resources of a big corporation. We are a small, locally owned-and-operated organization. Research, analysis and physical attendance at public meetings and community events requires considerable effort. But contributions from readers and advertisers, however big or small, go a long way to helping us deliver positive, open and honest journalism for this community.
Please consider supporting South Grey News with a donation in lieu of a subscription fee and let us know that our efforts are appreciated. Thank you.
