NFP expresses their gratitude to incredible service and support from Centre Grey Health Services

NFP donation cheque presentation

NFP Insurance Brokers, with an office in Markdale, (formerly Secure Insurance) have pledged to support the new Markdale Hospital and released the following statement on August 8:

"For over twenty years, as our business has continued to evolve and grow, your Markdale NFP team has been proudly supporting this community. Across this time, our focused specialists have been dedicated to lifting up those who ensure the health, safety and well-being of our partners, colleagues and loved ones across our local healthcare system and its supporter.

That’s why we’re so excited to announce that NFP as an organization is making a ten-year, $50,000 commitment of continuing support to the Markdale Hospital.

Healthcare and insurance share a significant bond. This contribution is our way of celebrating the appreciation and respect that comes with that relationship — and the high hopes we have of continuing to grow the important work and care that our healthcare providers deliver to our community.

All across our organization NFP truly believes in serving our communities and giving back to those around us who give so much of themselves as well. Everyday we make the conscious choice to take care of the communities in which we live and work.

We hope this — and our continuing relationships and support — displays in some small way the gratitude we feel toward all of those around us here in Markdale and across Grey County who make and help build up this incredible community."

“What an amazing show of support from NFP” stated Rob Fawcett, member of the Together In Care Campaign for the new Markdale Hospital. “This transformational gift will have impact for years to come!”

The new Markdale Hospital is a $70 million project and is 60% complete. It will increase flexibility to respond to the rising health care challenges that our communities face every day. The project is on target to be completed in mid-2023. For further details on how you can help, please visit www.togetherincare.com

At South Grey News, we endeavour to bring you truthful and factual, up-to-date local community news in a quick and easy-to-digest format that’s free of political bias. We believe this service is more important today than ever before, as social media has given rise to misinformation, largely unchecked by big corporations who put profits ahead of their responsibilities.

South Grey News does not have the resources of a big corporation. We are a small, locally owned-and-operated organization. Research, analysis and physical attendance at public meetings and community events requires considerable effort. But contributions from readers and advertisers, however big or small, go a long way to helping us deliver positive, open and honest journalism for this community.

Please consider supporting South Grey News with a donation in lieu of a subscription fee and let us know that our efforts are appreciated. Thank you.
