BY SOUTHGREY.CA STAFF — Rrampt Magazine declares "Paige Warner is a modern pop-singer songwriter with a timeless sound." In his recent Rrampt review of her debut LP Bitter/Sweet, Marshall Veroni describes her sound as one that stands the test of time while carrying a freshness that's ripe for radio play today.
Billboard Magazine calls her a “soulful Ontario songstress,” creating alt-pop music with soul-inspired vocal licks layered on catchy hooks of poetic lyrics.
We just call her our very own angel of song— a captivating local talent whose catalogue of tunes will get you bopping and singing along, often accompanied by an accomplished group of musicians, Stephen C. Warner, Tyler Wagner and Marty Sinclair.
This season, she and her cohorts return locally, to put us all in the Christmas mood. Paige Warner will sing Christmas classics, current holiday hits, and jazzy spins on your favourite carols at 7 pm on Saturday, November 29 in the Annesley Church, 82 Toronto Street South, Markdale. Tickets are $35 each and are available at-the-door, by calling the box office at 519-997-2727, or by registering online at middlegrey.events

The concert caps off a week of Holiday in the Highlands events sponsored by the South Grey Chamber of Commerce and is the fitting end to a Yule-filled day of shopping, crafts and celebration.
Santa's Workshop will entertain kids with crafts and goodies, featuring special guests Santa and Mrs. Claus in the very same venue from 1-4 pm. The much-loved couple will stay in town for this event following their appearance in the popular nighttime Santa Claus parade the night before.

Earlier in the day — November 29 — families can check out local artisans, their wares and festive food at the annual Flesherton Christmas Farmers' Market, one of two vendor events hosted by the group at the Flesherton Kinplex from 9 am - 2 pm, 102 Highland Drive, Flesherton.

We believe this service is more important today than ever before, as social media has given rise to misinformation, largely unchecked by big corporations who put profits ahead of their responsibilities.
South Grey News does not have the resources of a big corporation. We are a small, locally owned-and-operated organization.
