One person has died as a result of an aircraft collision that occurred in Southgate on July 25, 2022.
At approximately 7:45 pm, the Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of an aircraft collision in a field located off of Southgate Road 4. The Grey Bruce OPP, Guelph-Wellington Paramedic Services, Grey County Emergency Services and the Dundalk Fire Department attended the scene.
The occupant of the ultralight glider was pronounced deceased at scene. The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending next of kin notifications.
The Transportation Safety Board of Canada is investigating the crash. Anyone with information regarding this incident can contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122
