It's cold out there.
United Way Bruce Grey is proud to announce that they will be hosting the Coldest Night of the Year Walk in Grey Highlands, Meaford, Saugeen Shores, and Kincardine on February 24th, 2024. This event, which is hosted in over 170 cities across Canada, aims to raise funds to support those experiencing hunger, homelessness, and hurt in our community. This is the first year that Grey Highlands and Meaford will be hosting the walk, while Saugeen Shores and Kincardine will be hosting it for the second year.
"The Coldest Night of the Year Walk is an amazing event that not only raises crucial funds but also raises awareness about the challenges faced by vulnerable individuals and families in our community," said Kristy Andre, Fundraising Champion from United Way Bruce Grey. “We are excited to expand our reach this year by introducing walks in Grey Highlands and Meaford, and we are grateful for the continued support from Saugeen Shores and Kincardine. You can make a significant difference in the lives of those experiencing hardship locally by joining us.”

At South Grey News, we endeavour to bring you truthful and factual, up-to-date local community news in a quick and easy-to-digest format that’s free of political bias. We believe this service is more important today than ever before, as social media has given rise to misinformation, largely unchecked by big corporations who put profits ahead of their responsibilities.
South Grey News does not have the resources of a big corporation. We are a small, locally owned-and-operated organization. Research, analysis and physical attendance at public meetings and community events requires considerable effort. But contributions from readers and advertisers, however big or small, go a long way to helping us deliver positive, open and honest journalism for this community.
Please consider supporting South Grey News with a donation in lieu of a subscription fee and let us know that our efforts are appreciated. Thank you.
