Driver facing impaired driving charges

An individual from Cambridge is facing impaired driving-related charges stemming from a single motor vehicle collision that had occurred on Grey Road 30, West of Grey Road 13, in the Municipality of Grey Highlands.

On October 17, 2025, at approximately 1:18 a.m., the Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to a report of a single motor vehicle collision on Grey Road 30, in the Municipality of Grey Highlands. The driver had lost control of the vehicle, ending up striking a tree.

The driver was not injured.

A 29-year-old, of Cambridge, is charged with:

  • Operation while Impaired - Alcohol
  • Operation while Impaired - 80 plus
  • Dangerous Operation of a motor vehicle

A 90-day Administrative Driver's Lic ence Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound on November 13, 2025.

The OPP is committed to safety for all who utilize Ontario's roadways. Members of the public are urged to report Impaired Driving by calling 911 in emergency situations. Complaints of impaired, aggressive, or careless driving can also be made by calling 1-888-310-1122.
