The Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged an individual after they failed to stop for firefighter at the scene of a collision on Highway 10 in Chatsworth Township.
On October 4, 2023, at 8:38 am, the Grey Bruce OPP were investigating a collision on Highway 10. A driver drove on the wrong side of the road cresting a hill to pass a line of traffic and then attempted to drive around a firefighter holding a stop sign.
As a result, a 43-year-old from Newmarket has been charged with:
The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound on October 12, 2023.
The OPP wants to remind motorists to slow down, be cautious and prepared to stop when approaching emergency scenes.
