Community Foundation Grey Bruce invites charities and non-profit organizations across Grey and Bruce counties to submit grant applications before the fall deadline of September 15, 2021.
If you’re part of a non-profit or charity serving Grey Bruce that is planning a project this fall that will improve our community in one of the areas identified in the Foundation’s Vital Signs® report, you may be eligible to apply for up to $5,000 in support.
Vital Signs® is a community check-up conducted by Community Foundations across Canada that measures the vitality of our communities, identifies significant trends, and supports action on issues that are critical to our quality of life. Applicants will be asked to describe how their project relates to the report in one of 7 categories including the environment, health and wellness, and community connections.
Organizations can access the online application form, assessment criteria and full Vital Signs® report at www.communityfoundationgreybruce.com.
It’s advised that applicants confirm the eligibility of their project before beginning the application process by contacting Jen Legge, Grants and Donor Relations Coordinator at the Foundation office at 519-371-7203.
Established in 1994, Community Foundation Grey Bruce enhances community vitality by fostering open discussion about local need, sharing knowledge, and growing endowments to provide strategic granting and support to a wide range of non-profit organizations. Our vision is that everyone in Grey Bruce benefits from a vital, healthy, and resilient community.
At South Grey News, we endeavour to bring you truthful and factual, up-to-date local community news in a quick and easy-to-digest format that’s free of political bias. We believe this service is more important today than ever before, as social media has given rise to misinformation, largely unchecked by big corporations who put profits ahead of their responsibilities.
South Grey News does not have the resources of a big corporation. We are a small, locally owned-and-operated organization. Research, analysis and physical attendance at public meetings and community events requires considerable effort. But contributions from readers and advertisers, however big or small, go a long way to helping us deliver positive, open and honest journalism for this community.
Please consider supporting South Grey News with a donation in lieu of a subscription fee and let us know that our efforts are appreciated. Thank you.
