Serious collision in Grey Highlands between pickup and buggy

On December 16, 2021 at approximately 3:40 pm, the Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), the Dundalk Fire Department* (corrected from previously reported Grey Highlands Fire Department*) and Grey County Emergency Medical Services (EMS) responded to a report of a collision between a pickup truck and a buggy on Grey Road 2 in the Municipality of Grey Highlands. 

Five occupants were transported from the scene to local area hospitals. Four occupants are said to have life threatening injuries, three of which where air lifted by Ornge.

The Grey Bruce OPP remain on scene, and are conducting the investigation with the assistance of the OPP West Region Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement Team (TIME), and the Ministry of Labour.

Grey Road 2 is expected to remain closed between Centre Line A and the Third Concession for several hours while emergency crews process the scene.

Anyone with information regarding this incident are asked to call the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or online at www.opp.ca/reporting. Should you wish to remain anonymous you can call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) where you may be eligible to receive a cash reward of up to $2,000.
