Bruce Power sponsors IPM 2026 with $150,000 pledge

Bruce Power IPM sponsorship cheque ceremony 2025

The Bruce County IPM & Rural Expo 2026 Committee has announced that Bruce Power has committed a lead pledge of $150,000 to sponsor the local plowing match to be held from September 22-26, 2026.

IPM Chair Gord Lang attended the announcement with James Scongack (COO, Bruce Power) and members of his team with IPM Committee members Josh Bester, Allison Pepper and Bill Walker. He shared that “the Organizing Committee members are extremely grateful for this leadership pledge. This is a symbolic message from a significant local business that is investing in agriculture, rural living and our community. Thank you Bruce Power for all you do!”

Sponsorship Chairperson Josh Bester was equally excited. His team has been busy putting together a program that will be attractive to all levels of business and organizations. “This is a great way to officially launch our sponsorship program and I encourage anyone who wishes to support, enter an exhibit space, or promote their business to the hundreds of thousands of people who will visit and follow the IPM to reach out asap to ensure they can capture their preferred opportunity.” Enquiries can be directed to sponsorship2026ipm@gmail.com or call Josh at (519) 270-9020.

James Scongack added with enthusiasm, “we are an annual sponsor of the IPM as we believe in Agriculture and energy can and do co-exist successfully, and we are very honoured to offer additional funding when the plowing match is right here in Bruce County. Many of our staff and suppliers and their families live here and we want to show our support for a program that will provide educational opportunities and a glimpse in to how farming and rural life positively impacts our community and province.”

As our farmers are in the midst of harvest season, the Organizing Committee continues to build toward what they believe will be the best IPM yet, and encourage everyone to please watch and listen for more details on local media and social media as plans are developed for what will be an event to remember in the County of Bruce in 2026!
