OPP investigating break and enter in Grey Highlands

Grey Bruce OPP are investigating a break and enter that occurred in the early morning hours of Monday, August 11, on Valley Crescent in the Municipality of Grey Highlands.

Between approximately 4:10 am and 4:20 am, two individuals unlawfully entered a residence and confronted the occupants before fleeing the scene. One individual was assaulted during the incident and sustained minor injuries.

Several items were taken from the residence. Police responded promptly after being contacted by a neighbour. The suspects had departed prior to officers' arrival.

A Scenes of Crime Officer (SOCO) from the Grey Bruce OPP attended to process the scene. Officers also canvassed the neighbourhood for potential surveillance footage.

The investigation remains ongoing.

Police are asking residents in the area of Valley Crescent to check their security cameras or dashcams for any suspicious activity between 4:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. on August 11.
