Arrest made after disturbance and broken windows in Markdale

September 13, 2025, at approximately 3:30 pm, members of the Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to reports of a disturbance and property damage near Main Street West in Markdale.

Police received information that an individual was causing a disturbance and had damaged windows at two local businesses. Officers attended the scene and located the person, who was arrested without incident.

A 31-year-old of no fixed address has been charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

  • Mischief under $5,000 - two counts
  • Fail to comply with probation

The accused was held for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound on September 15, 2025, and was remanded into custody.
