June 10, 2025, at approximately 4:40 p.m., members of the West Grey Police Service responded to an armed robbery at the Northern Credit Union located in Durham.
Preliminary investigation revealed that four male suspects, all dressed in dark clothing and wearing masks, exited a black SUV before entering the financial institution. Once inside, one suspect brandished a machete while another was observed with a handgun.
The suspects demanded and obtained an undisclosed amount of money before fleeing the scene in the same black SUV, last seen heading southbound from the area.
No injuries were reported. The West Grey Police Service is actively investigating this incident, with assistance from neighbouring law enforcement agencies.
