Adoption of the week: meet Luci

SPONSORED CONTENT — Meet Luci. This 6 year-old hound/terrier mix came to the Grey Bruce Animal Shelter (GBAS) from another shelter where she has been waiting for her forever family to come along. Sadly, Luci is still waiting. She is a lovely girl who would do best with older kids/teens and needs to be the only pet in the home. She is spayed, up-to-date on all vaccines, chipped and ready to meet potential adopters. Please call the GBAS at 519-372-1911 to meet this girl.

During the COVID-19 crisis, people are working at the shelter to care for the animals but they are limiting the numbers of volunteers and restricting general public visits. GBAS serves the residents of both Grey and Bruce Counties who can no longer care for their own pet cats and dogs. The shelter minimizes the time that surrendered pets spend at the shelter by consistently matching animals with suitable new homes.

Largely volunteer-based, the shelter receives no financial assistance from any level of government and is 100% funded by adoption fees, private donations and fundraising events. The shelter is located at 457437 Concession Rd 8 S, Municipality of Meaford.
