SPONSORED CONTENT — Kozmo is a two year-old orange domestic short-hair cat. He is up-to-date with vaccinations, neutered and ready to find his forever family. This boy has been picked on by other cats and is still very scared and timid. Once he trusts you, he is a loveable purring machine! A quieter home is preferable for him, with no other cats or older children. A family who are patient would be best for this boy. Please call the shelter at 519-372-1911 to make an appointment to meet this nice guy.
During the COVID-19 crisis, people are working at the shelter to care for the animals but they are limiting the numbers of volunteers and restricting general public visits.
GBAS serves the residents of both Grey and Bruce Counties who can no longer care for their own pet cats and dogs. The shelter minimizes the time that surrendered pets spend at the shelter by consistently matching animals with suitable new homes.
Largely volunteer-based, the shelter receives no financial assistance from any level of government and is 100% funded by adoption fees, private donations and fundraising events. The shelter is located at 457437 Concession Rd 8 S, Municipality of Meaford.

At South Grey News, we endeavour to bring you truthful and factual, up-to-date local community news in a quick and easy-to-digest format that’s free of political bias. We believe this service is more important today than ever before, as social media has given rise to misinformation, largely unchecked by big corporations who put profits ahead of their responsibilities.
South Grey News does not have the resources of a big corporation. We are a small, locally owned-and-operated organization. Research, analysis and physical attendance at public meetings and community events requires considerable effort. But contributions from readers and advertisers, however big or small, go a long way to helping us deliver positive, open and honest journalism for this community.
Please consider supporting South Grey News with a donation in lieu of a subscription fee and let us know that our efforts are appreciated. Thank you.
