SPONSORED CONTENT — Meet Skye! She's a big girl in more ways than one: big on affection, big in size and big on charm. Skye is around 1.5-years-old, a Pyrenees-Lab Cross — she's got the Lab coat and the Pyrenees size. She is spayed and up-to-date on shots.
Skye is good with some dogs and walks well with some of our calmer dogs at the shelter. She likes people but sometimes is timid on first meeting. Because of her size and the fact that she still has puppy play tendencies, we don't recommend her for a family with small children, but older children would be fine. A fenced yard or farm property would be ideal for this girl. Please call the Grey Bruce Animal Shelter (GBAS) at 519 372-1911 for an appointment to meet Skye.
Largely volunteer-based, the GBAS receives no financial assistance from any level of government and is 100% funded by adoption fees, private donations and fundraising events. The shelter is located at 457437 Concession Rd 8 S, Municipality of Meaford.
Although COVID-19 protocols have been relaxed, the GBAS is continuing to arrange animal visits by appointment. It allows volunteers/staff to spend enough time with prospective adopters as well as people surrendering animals. Face masks are optional.

At South Grey News, we endeavour to bring you truthful and factual, up-to-date local community news in a quick and easy-to-digest format that’s free of political bias. We believe this service is more important today than ever before, as social media has given rise to misinformation, largely unchecked by big corporations who put profits ahead of their responsibilities.
South Grey News does not have the resources of a big corporation. We are a small, locally owned-and-operated organization. Research, analysis and physical attendance at public meetings and community events requires considerable effort. But contributions from readers and advertisers, however big or small, go a long way to helping us deliver positive, open and honest journalism for this community.
Please consider supporting South Grey News with a donation in lieu of a subscription fee and let us know that our efforts are appreciated. Thank you.
