SPONSORED CONTENT — Say hello to Ryder. Ryder was picked up as a stray and his time was up, so he found his way to the Grey Bruce Animal Shelter (GBAS). He was named Ryder because he enjoyed his car ride so much! He is approximately two years-old, male, medium sized and has a quirky but cute head tilt. He's very high energy and looks to be a Shepherd-Aussie/Heeler Cross. He loves everyone he meets and gets along with other dogs too. However, it's recommended that he be the only dog in the household until he gains confidence and obedience. Because of his separation anxiety, he is best in a home where people are around most of the time. He does have some basic training and is keen to learn. He has been neutered and is up-to-date on shots. Please call the shelter at 519-372-1911 for an appointment to meet this fun guy.
Largely volunteer-based, the GBAS receives no financial assistance from any level of government and is 100% funded by adoption fees, private donations and fundraising events. The shelter is located at 457437 Concession Rd 8 S, Municipality of Meaford.
Although COVID-19 protocols have been relaxed, the GBAS is continuing to arrange animal visits by appointment. It allows volunteers/staff to spend enough time with prospective adopters as well as people surrendering animals. Face masks are optional.

At South Grey News, we endeavour to bring you truthful and factual, up-to-date local community news in a quick and easy-to-digest format that’s free of political bias. We believe this service is more important today than ever before, as social media has given rise to misinformation, largely unchecked by big corporations who put profits ahead of their responsibilities.
South Grey News does not have the resources of a big corporation. We are a small, locally owned-and-operated organization. Research, analysis and physical attendance at public meetings and community events requires considerable effort. But contributions from readers and advertisers, however big or small, go a long way to helping us deliver positive, open and honest journalism for this community.
Please consider supporting South Grey News with a donation in lieu of a subscription fee and let us know that our efforts are appreciated. Thank you.
