Pet adoption of the week: meet Mickey

SPONSORED CONTENT — Meet Mickey. He's a 4-year-old Shepherd/Doberman Cross — a little slow to warm up to people, but a sweet guy once he comes around. He has come a long way since coming to the Grey Bruce Animal Shelter (GBAS). He enjoys his walks and likes to be with other dogs on walks. Because he is nervous around strangers, a quieter home is recommended — no small children. He will be available for adoption after a visit to the vet. Please call the shelter at 519-372-1911 for an appointment to meet this guy.

Largely volunteer-based, the GBAS receives no financial assistance from any level of government and is 100% funded by adoption fees, private donations and fundraising events. The shelter is located at 457437 Concession Rd 8 S, Municipality of Meaford.

Although COVID-19 protocols have been relaxed, the GBAS is continuing to arrange animal visits by appointment. It allows volunteers/staff to spend enough time with prospective adopters as well as people surrendering animals. Face masks are optional.
