The Grey Bruce Community Safety and Well-Being Plan (CSWBP) community partners invite families to join in for a Children’s Health Day on Saturday June 7, 2025, from 10:30 am to 2:30 pm at the Saugeen Valley Children’s Safety Village, 261101 Grey Rd 28, Hanover. This will be a fun, engaging event focused on safety, wellness, and community connections.
Children’s Health Day will feature a foam party, exciting Touch-a-Truck experiences, and interactive fire, road and farm safety demonstrations. The day is designed to highlight the overall health and well-being of children while giving families access to valuable local resources and supports.
Local service providers focused on youth mental and physical health will be on-site offering information and activities to help families learn more about keeping kids and themselves safe, healthy, and supported.
Children will also receive a Passport of Discovery, encouraging them to explore the event and collect stickers from each booth, with door prizes drawn throughout the day.
This event is free and open to youth and families looking to have fun while learning more about how to support the safety and wellness of children in our communities.

CSWBP helps organizations improve the things that keep us healthy, happy, and safe. Together, we use research to create solutions focused on education, health care, food, housing, income, crime, and belonging. It is important that we create a welcoming community where problems are solved before they happen and where different professionals and community members come together to help people now and in the future.
The ongoing work of CSWBP is supported by an advisory committee representing over 74 partners from across Bruce and Grey who are working together to address crime prevention by investing in social development, prevention, and risk interventions. This upstream preventative model focuses on creating protective factors that make individuals less vulnerable to crime and victimization.
At South Grey News, we endeavour to bring you truthful and factual, up-to-date local community news in a quick and easy-to-digest format that’s free of political bias. We believe this service is more important today than ever before, as social media has given rise to misinformation, largely unchecked by big corporations who put profits ahead of their responsibilities.
South Grey News does not have the resources of a big corporation. We are a small, locally owned-and-operated organization. Research, analysis and physical attendance at public meetings and community events requires considerable effort. But contributions from readers and advertisers, however big or small, go a long way to helping us deliver positive, open and honest journalism for this community.
Please consider supporting South Grey News with a donation in lieu of a subscription fee and let us know that our efforts are appreciated. Thank you.
