The New Markdale Foodland has teamed up with the Centre Grey Health Services Foundation (CGHSF) to host the 2020 grocery raffle. “Foodland owners Bill and Liz Graham have generously donated the prizes, and all of the proceeds will go to purchase much needed hospital equipment” said Nancy Sinclair, Foundation Director and Community Events Chair.
Ticket sales began at the Grand Opening of the new Markdale Foodland on February 27th and the draw will take place on May 30th. With a grand prize of $2400 of groceries, 2nd prize of $250 groceries, and 3rd prize of $100 groceries all from the Markdale Foodland – you can understand why tickets are selling quickly.
Tickets are limited so you will want to get yours soon. “It’s such a beautiful store. Who wouldn’t want to win groceries from here?” stated Sinclair.
For tickets, call (519) 377-9234, or visit the Hospital Coffee Shop at the Centre Grey Hospital in Markdale.
At South Grey News, we endeavour to bring you truthful up-to-date local community news in a quick and easy-to-digest format that’s free of political bias. We believe this service is more important today than ever before, as social media has given rise to misinformation, largely unchecked by big corporations who put profits ahead of their responsibilities.
South Grey News does not have the resources of a big corporation. We are a small, locally owned-and-operated organization. Research, analysis and physical attendance at public meetings and community events requires considerable effort. But contributions from readers and advertisers, however big or small, go a long way to helping us deliver positive, open and honest journalism for this community.
Please consider supporting South Grey News with a modest donation and let us know that our efforts are appreciated. Thank you.
