West Grey Police report March 31 to April 7, 2022

West Grey Police Service submitted the following report:

During the week of March 31 - April 7, 2022, the West Grey Police Service responded to 83 total calls for service.

  • 3 – 911 Calls
  • 1 – Domestic / Family Disputes
  • 6 – Mental Health Act
  • 8 – Motor Vehicle Collisions
  • 11 – Police Information / Assistance Calls
  • 3 – Bail Violations
  • 2 – Drug Offences
  • 2 – Break and Enter
  • 4 – Suspicious Persons / Vehicles
  • 2 – Theft Complaints
  • 1 – Police Pursuit
  • 11– Traffic Hazards / Traffic Enforcements
  • 4 - Neighbour Disputes
  • 2 – Harassment Complaints

March 31, 2022 — West Grey Officers were called to the scene of a single motor vehicle collision. Investigation revealed that the female driver and male passenger were involved in a Domestic Dispute which resulted in the collision.

The 20-year-old female was arrested at the scene and is charged with:

  • Impaired Driving
  • Drive Over 80

She was later released with mandatory driver’s license suspension, vehicle impounded and will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice at a later date.

Investigation into the Domestic Dispute is ongoing with further charges pending.

April 1, 2022 — West Grey Officers were called to Ayton, Ontario in response to a trespass complaint. Investigation revealed that the male suspect was in violation of his release order.

Charges are pending against a 54-year old male of Ayton, Ontario.

April 6, 2022 — an investigation was conducted into a person breaching release order conditions. As a result, a Warrant of Arrest has been sought for a 34-year old male of No Fixed Address.
