On August 24, 2020 at 4:46 pm, Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) stopped a grey pick-up truck that was pulling a utility trailer with an insecure load on Highway 10, near Berkeley, in the Township of Chatsworth.

Debris had fallen off of the trailer, causing a dangerous situation for other road users.

During the investigation, OPP officers found that the driver's license was currently suspended and they were prohibited from driving under the Criminal Code.

Grey Bruce OPP have charged a 60 year-old man from Grey Highlands with the following offenses:

  • Driving while under suspension, section 53(1) Highway Traffic Act (HTA)
  • Insecure load, section 111(2) HTA

The accused was released on an Appearance Notice and is required to appear in Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound on November 12, 2020.
