West Grey Police investigating a series of thefts

 

On November 27 the West Grey Police responded to a call at Snowmobiles Unlimited located on Highway 6 in West Grey regarding a snowmobile stolen from their property sometime between October 31 and November 11. 

The snowmobile is described as a green 2003 Arctic Cat model S20, with green skis, and a chrome windshield. This investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is being asked to call the West Grey Police Service at 519-371-6911 or contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477. 

The West Grey Police Service is also currently investigating a series of incidents which occurred on the evening of November 27. 

Police received a call about a break and enter into a barn on Concession 18 in West Grey. Police arrived and found fresh snowmobile tracks leading down the Normanby-Bentinck Townline. 

As police followed the snowmobile tracks they received a call from an address on the Townline, reporting two males currently stealing fuel from the property. As police approached the property the unknown suspects fled on snowmobile toward Hanover. 

Once in Hanover the suspects stole fuel from the Shell gas station at the corner of Grey Road 28 and Grey Road 10 and took off again.
