According to a recent OPP police media release, on June 23, 2020 at 9:03 pm, Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) stopped a northbound white SUV speeding in Berkeley, in the Township of Chatsworth.
This SUV was traveling over 100 km an hour in a 50 km per hour zone.
The driver, a 40-year-old woman from Neyaashiinigmiing First Nation, ON was charged with stunt driving - 50km/h or more over posted speed limit, contrary to section 172(1) Highway Traffic Act.
The driver was issued a summons to attend court, 7 day drivers license suspension and the vehicle that was being operated was towed and will be impounded for 7 days.
