Grey Highlands Hawks welcome former NHLer as coach

Former NHLer to coach Grey Highlands Hawks

The Grey Highlands Hawks are pleased to announce new head coach Norm Maracle. The team hopes the former NHLer will be taking the them to new heights.

Born in Belleville, Ontario, Maracle has a rich history in goaltending which has taken him to Canada, the US and Europe. 

His history with the NHL started with the Detroit Red Wings for the 1997-98 season, posting a 2-0-1 record in four appearances; and later with the Atlanta Thrashers for their 1999-00, 2000–01 and 2001-02 seasons. 

Maracle has received many awards in his hockey career and in addition to his time in the NHL, has played for the Alberta Midget Hockey League, the Canadian Hockey League, the Western Canada Hockey League, the American Hockey League, International Hockey League, and the Deutschen Eishockey Liga.
