Drugs and stolen snowmobile found in possession of wanted man in Durham

On Monday February 3, 2020 at approximately 11:10 am, West Grey Police officers intercepted a man on Park Street in the Town of Durham who was wanted on outstanding fraud charges. The wanted man was found to be in possession of a snowmobile that had been stolen from a Neustadt residence in late January. 

A transparent plastic baggie containing 48 g of what is believed to be Crystal Methamphetamine as well as various drug paraphernalia items including a digital scale and baggies was found among his belongings.


  • 28 year-old man, of no fixed address 

Charges Include: 

  • Make Forged Document 
  • Use, deals, acts on forged Document 
  • Fraud under $5000 
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000 
  • Possession of a controlled substance: Methamphetamine 
  • Possession for the Purpose Trafficking: Methamphetamine

Subsequent to police investigation, the 28-year-old has been charged with numerous drug and fraud related offences. 

The accused man was held in custody and was remanded until Wednesday February 5, 2020, when he is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Walkerton.
