FROM A MAY 27 OPP POLICE REPORT — In the afternoon of May 25, a driver from Collingwood was stopped at a RIDE check on Grey Road 13 in Grey Highlands and failed a breath test.
A pick-up truck traveling southbound on Grey Road 13 approached the RIDE spot check. The officer detected alcohol on the driver's breath. He was given a roadside breath test and as a result, he failed.
The driver was transported to the Markdale Detachment for further breath tests. As a result of the tests, the 36-year old man from Collingwood was charged with operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).
He is scheduled to appear in court in Owen Sound on June 6, 2019.
