BY SOUTHGREY.CA STAFF –
There will be no shortage of things to do and see this Canada Day weekend. With so much happening in the South Grey area, you’ll want to plan your weekend activities in advance and take full advantage of all this region has to offer.
There will be several fireworks celebrations taking place on Saturday. Many of them accompanied by food and live music. Check your local municipality for listings with some named below.
Boats will parade around Lake Eugenia from 2 to 3:30 pm Saturday afternoon. Participants will leave their docks and join others coordinated by area leaders as they circle the lake clockwise. The event has been created by the Lake Eugenia Property Owners Association to honour Canada’s 150th birthday.
Should nice weather prevail, the lake also promises to be a busy place for the long weekend as boaters and swimmers will descend on one of this areas best summer destinations.
Festivities will certainly not be confined to the air and the water this Canada Day weekend. Many land-locked events will happen in each of the communities of Grey Highlands, West Grey and Southgate.
